About Total Impact Organisation

A non-profit, charitable organisation working so that Malawian communities — especially the most vulnerable — can thrive on their own terms.

Who We Are

Serving communities, not interests

Total Impact Organisation (TiO) is a non-profit, charitable organisation duly registered with the Non-Governmental Organisations Regulatory Authority (NGORA) of Malawi.

TiO exists to serve communities, particularly the most vulnerable, by delivering sustainable, inclusive and transformative development interventions. We are guided by a simple conviction captured in our slogan — Impact Beyond Generations: the work we do today should still be standing when the next generation inherits it.

Everything we do is anchored in ethical service delivery, accountability, transparency and community-centred development. Our Service Charter sets out, in writing, exactly what beneficiaries, partners, donors and the public can expect from us.

TiO does not operate for private gain and does not distribute profits or assets to individuals. All resources mobilised are used exclusively for public benefit and charitable purposes, in line with our Constitution and the laws of Malawi.

Compliant and accountable

We operate in compliance with the NGO Act, NGORA regulations and other applicable national policies — with proper financial management, external audits, and regular reporting to NGORA, donors and stakeholders.

How We Work

Community first, evidence always

Listen before we plan

Communities are engaged meaningfully in programme design and implementation — not consulted after decisions are already made.

Build on evidence

Interventions are selected on what the data and the community's own priorities show will work, and are measured honestly.

Safeguard everyone

Safeguarding standards apply to every programme, with particular care for children and vulnerable persons, and zero tolerance to abuse.

Partner with us to reach one more community.

Every partnership, donation and volunteer hour goes directly into programmes that outlast us.
